CARDINAL FOOTBALL CLUB

Cardinal Football Club was started by Cory Jensen in 2021, has participated in the Central Virginia Soccer Association and the Sport Center of Richmond with a focus on promoting competitive play with a high standard of sportsmanship.

Cory's background in competitive play includes: travel, ODP, college clubs, competitive coed travel teams, semi-pro indoor, coaching (USSF C coaching license) and refereeing (USSF grassroots - Virginia High School League).

We are always on the lookout to create playing opportunities for talented players and are willing to expand with leadership dedication.

Soccer has been central to me over the course of my entire life. Prior to starting to organize in RVA, I was involved in many soccer communities in the United States. Below images celebrates some fun highlights related to my participation in the beautiful game, including outcomes as a coach with the Richmond Kickers Youth Soccer Club and as the founder of Cardinal FC.

President and Captain of SDSM&T coed club team 1999. Was inducted to the schools leadership hall of fame, partially due to soccer contributions.

World Cup qualifier in Denver, ya-know, on a snow day (final score: 1-0 win for USA).

Just balling with Nene at Cheeseman Park (Denver, CO) on the weekend. His friends also from Brazil are ballers too.

Anyone that played indoor soccer in Denver knew Apex. I heard it was an ice skating Olympic training center back in the day.

Never had a bad day at Vail, including winning the mens Silver Division with Colorado Sporting.
